Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose and on which legal basis. We only collect the data each purpose needs.
Controller
MATTALNET GRUPP OÜ, Tuukri tn 19-315, 10120 Tallinn, Estonia. Represented by Andreas Gleim. E-Mail: info@matrix-capital.net, phone +372 588 99 019.
Hosting
This website and its database run on servers of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, in data centres in Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Server log files
With every request the web server automatically stores technical information:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested address and amount of data transferred
- referrer (the previously visited page), if sent
- browser and operating system (user agent)
We need this information to deliver the website, find errors and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
Process check and enquiries
If you complete the process check and send us your details, we store your answers, your name, your email address and any optional details (company, phone, message) in our own database on the server named above. We also receive a notification by email. We use the data only to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible project.
The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future. We delete the data once it is no longer needed to handle your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.
If you email us directly, we process your message and contact details for the same purposes and on the same legal bases.
Cookieless audience measurement
To understand which content is used and where the process check is abandoned, we run our own simple audience measurement. It runs entirely on our server; no third parties are involved and no data is passed on.
When a page is viewed and on certain actions, your browser sends a short message to our server. We store:
- the type of event: page view, step reached in the process check, result shown (chosen area and recommended offer), enquiry sent, click on an email, phone or external link (target domain only)
- the page viewed (path without parameters) and language version
- the domain of the previously visited page (for example google.com), without the full address
- campaign details from the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), if present
- a country derived solely from your browser's language setting (for example de-AT gives Austria), not from the IP address
- date and time
- a visitor identifier, see below
Your IP address and browser identifier (user agent) are not stored for this measurement. To count the visitors of a day, we compute a hash (SHA-256, truncated) from IP address, browser identifier and a random daily value. The daily value exists only in our database and is replaced by a new one every day, overwriting the old one. The hash therefore cannot be traced back to the IP address, and the same visitor cannot be recognised on different days. We do not build profiles or combine this data with other data; enquiries from the process check are not linked to the visitor identifier.
No cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device beyond what is transmitted with every page request anyway. If your browser has “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” enabled, no message is sent. Requests from known search engine and automation programs are discarded.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing and improving the website according to need (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by enabling “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser or by writing to us. The events are stored in our database on the server named above and evaluated only in aggregated form.
Cookies and fonts
This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no third-party tracking, advertising or analytics tools. Only staff who view unpublished content via a preview link from our editorial system receive technically necessary cookies for that preview.
Fonts, pictures and videos are served from our own server. Visiting the website does not open a connection to Google Fonts or any other third party.
Recipients and third countries
We do not pass your data on to third parties, except to processors such as our hosting provider or where we are legally required to. No transfer to countries outside the EU is intended.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time. To do so, write to info@matrix-capital.net.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, Tallinn), which is responsible for us, or the authority where you live or work.
